Pas de grande surprise, les 3 favoris au championnat sont devant, Bayliss encore largement devant. Corser ayant l'air d'avoir encore besoin d'un peu de temps pour s'adapter à sa nouvelle monture

The opening day of the Pirelli test at Phillip Island, Australia, has ended with reigning double world champion Troy Bayliss on top of the timesheets at his home circuit – and star WSBK rookie Max Biaggi best of the rest.

Bayliss led the field with a time of 1min 32.8secs on his Ducati Xerox 999, which was some 0.4secs behind his own official race lap record but enough to leave former MotoGP title contender Biaggi trailing by 0.4secs on his new 2007 spec Alstare Suzuki GSX-R1000.

Nevertheless, it was an impressive SBK debut for Biaggi at the spectacular seaside circuit as the Roman edged out Ten Kate Honda's 2006 title runner-up James Toseland by 0.2secs, with Yamaha Italia's Noriyuki Haga and PSG-1 Kawasaki's Fonsi Nieto both matching the Englishman's day one time.

Nieto team-mate Regis Laconi was 0.1secs slower, while 2006 Phillip Island race winner Troy Corser made a slow start by his usual high standards in seventh - although he was still only 0.8secs behind countryman, and fellow double world champion, Bayliss as he continues to adapt to the Yamaha Italia R1.

The second factory Ducati of Loreno Lanzi was 0.1secs slower than Corser, while Biaggi's team-mate Yukio Kagayama was a further 0.4secs behind in ninth. Toseland's team-mate Roberto Rolfo finished 2.6secs behind Bayliss to round out the timesheets on his first visit to Phillip Island with a CBR1000RR.

In World Supersport, home grown Yamaha stars Broc Parkes and Kevin Curtain turned the tables on the dominant Ten Kate Honda team by finishing one-two on the Saturday timesheets - Parkes 0.2secs ahead of 2006 title runner-up Curtain - while reigning double champion Sebastien Charpentier and Ten Kate team-mate Kenan Sofuoglu were both just 0.1secs slower as they tied for third position. Pere Riba was a further 0.3secs slower to be best of the rest for Kawasaki.

Testing continues on Sunday and concludes on Monday.

Meanwhile, although the Phillip Island test is only for the designated WSBK development teams, DFXtreme Honda, Perdercini Ducati and others have been continuing their own pre-season preparations with a test at Valencia in Spain.

Pas la peine de pourri Pierminator! Ce n'est pas de sa faute: son clavier est un peu trop dur, son processeur est réglé un poil riche, son écran a un peu de chatering. A se demander si Microsoft ne le fait pas exprès
