Ruben Xaus has revealed he is fully recovered from his injuries suffered at Brno last season and is ready to lead BMW's charge into the 2010 FIM Superbike World Championship campaign.
The 31-year-old Spaniard managed a best finish of seventh in the German manufacturer's maiden season but the end of his campaign was compromised by a heavy fall in the Czech Republic which saw him miss three races.
He returned to score points at five of the final six races of the season and is confident he will be on the pace at the start of 2010.
"I've recovered totally, even though a thigh-bone break is a serious injury," he told

"I'm training hard so that I can be ready for the first tests of next season, which at the moment are the ones at the end of January at Portimao."
He added: "A racer always starts a race to win otherwise he might as well stay at home.
"Obviously our aim is to improve more and more and get closer to the leading positions.
"BMW are fully committed to this and with a year's experience behind them the conditions are right for them to do well."
