“You saw what happened on the first lap on the TV - the Spaniard said -
Of course he doesn’t want to take me out, that’s not his intention, but I think the problem is that he’s not very conscious about the risks there are in the category, with this bike and these tires."
“I thought he learned from the past, from the controversy he created, like what happened with Dani, but it’s clear that he doesn’t learn at the moment - the Yamaha rider went on -
I hope he learns in the future but at this moment I don’t have any respect for him because he is causing a risk to all the riders. Marco rides like the race is on playstation, where the risks don't matter and nobody can get hurt. Do you want my opinion? I think he should be suspended, at least for one race. They did it to me, and I got the message. Why shouldn't they try it with him?"
Lorenzo did manage to comment on the other aspects of his race as well, saying: “The good thing is that we finished in sixth position, we took some points and I was going fast at a good pace, but the Championship is now very difficult. We are very far from Stoner and now we must think about winning races and going fast. This is the only goal this year. We are making some modifications on the bike which are working a little better. This morning in the warm up we tried a new fairing and gained some stability on the straight which is a positive thing, and we hope in Mugello we can be more competitive like Ben (Spies) showed today. And I give Ben my compliments for his win."

"The decision by Aspar to run Elena Rosell in Moto2 was a marketing ploy - Pons declared -
and it should not have been allowed. Aspar only did it to gain publicity."
The response from Martinez didn't take long:
"Sito Pons is a bad person - Aspar said -
he always was, and everyone in the paddock knows it. Talking like this about Elena, who races Superstock in the CEV, on a bike that's more powerful than a Moto2, is not nice. She deserved this opportunity, and I'll actually try and give her another. Sito Pons no longer exists for me, and he's on his way down in the world of motorsports. After once being a respected person, with a good team in 500cc, he has become a nobody."
