King Kiyo reigns again

HM Plant Honda's Ryuichi Kiyonari took his first winning double in BSB since 2007 at Mallory Park this afternoon, storming to the second race victory despite an early race battle with Chris Walker and under pressure from team-mate Brookes.
Kiyonari said: "I am so happy with two wins today as it has moved me up in the championship and that is what is important. I knew that Josh was chasing me but I kept pushing and it paid off."
Kiyonari fired off the line on the opening lap ahead of Chris Walker and Brookes in third, with the Stalker taking the lead at the Hairpin only for eventual race winner Kiyonari to retake the advantage a lap later at Gerrards.
Brookes moved up to second into Gerrards on the seventh lap to make it another HM Plant Honda one-two and the pair strung out a lead to gap Michael Laverty in third and Michael Rutter in fourth.
Walker dropped to fifth as John Laverty closed in on the Buildbase Kawasaki after passing rival Simon Andrews on the MSS Colchester Kawasaki over the final laps. Championship leader Tommy Hill salvaged a top ten finish in eighth after getting the better of Tommy Bridewell for eighth who had earlier been embroiled in a scrap, whilst Andrew Pitt dropped to tenth.
Hudson Kennuagh extended his championship lead in the Mirror.co.uk BSB Evo class after winning race two as rival Steve Brogan crashed out on the opening lap, with David Johnson and Gary Johnson completing the podium.

MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship standings after Mallory Park:
  1. Tommy Hill (Worx Crescent Suzuki) 154
  2. Josh Brookes (HM Plant Honda) 150
  3. Michael Laverty (Relentless Suzuki by TAS) 133
  4. Ryuichi Kiyonari (HM Plant Honda) 128
  5. Michael Rutter (Ridersmotorcycles.com Ducati) 114

Brookes bangs in pole position lap

Josh Brookes stole the pole position at Knockhill this afternoon to take HM Plant Honda's sixth consecutive pole position at the Fife circuit during another dramatic Swan Combi Roll for Pole grid decider.

Brookes said: "This morning we didn't do too many laps as I heard a noise with the engine and we wanted to make sure there was nothing wrong that could have affected us in qualifying and that was why I was so down the order. We put a new engine in and I was a bit worried but in Q1 the HM Plant Honda was feeling good, but we just made a slight change and then in Q3 it felt great and I just managed to get a good lap together and do the job. Another Honda one-two is good for the team and I think the races will be tough tomorrow but I am ready for it."

In Q1 championship leader Hill powered ahead in the final eight minutes with a time of 49.050s from Michael Rutter and Stuart Easton who had set the pace ahead of the qualifying shootout.
It was drama for the Relentless Suzuki by TAS team as Michael Laverty crashed out at Leslies and with serious crash damage to the bike he was unable to rejoin Q2 despite the best efforts of his team. He will now start from 20th on the grid for the first race tomorrow.
In Q2 Brookes put in the fastest lap of the weekend to put the HM Plant Honda at the top, displacing Rutter and Hill, with James Ellison making it through to the top ten in sixth following a determined performance to move into Q3.
The HM Plant Honda team-mates scrapped it out in the final session for the top spot but it was Brookes who took his second consecutive pole position at the circuit from Hill in third and Rutter in fourth.
MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship, Knockhill, Swan Combi Roll for Pole:
  1. Josh Brookes (HM Plant Honda) 48.486s
  2. Ryuichi Kiyonari (HM Plant Honda) +0.150s

  4. Michael Rutter (Ridersmotorcycles.com Ducati) +0.305s
  5. James Ellison (Swan Honda) +0.314s
  6. Dan Linfoot (Motorpoint Yamaha) +0.382s
  7. Stuart Easton (Swan Honda) +0.388s
  8. Tommy Bridewell (Quay Garage Honda) +0.427s
  9. Alastair Seeley (Relentless Suzuki by TAS) +0.473s

Kiyo' qui fait la bonne opération du Week end en passant leader du championnat grace aux mauvais résultats de Hill et de Brookes(qui se sort tout seul en manche 2 alors qu'il est en tete).
