Sergio Garcia a commis la même faute que Fabio: utilisation d’une moto non conforme au règlement (à Aragon en juin). Il roule sur une Moto3 Honda donc il a interdiction de rouler sur une moto 4 temps 250cc à moteur Honda. Il pourrait rouler sur une KTM par contre.

1.15.1 iv) In the Moto3 class, when track familiarisation takes place on a Grand Prix circuit then the road-homologated motorcycle may not be the same brand and within 50cc of the same engine capacity as the rider’s current Moto3 machine. That is, if the motorcycle is the same brand as the rider’s current Moto3 machine, it must be of a different engine capacity by 50cc or more.

Un journaliste anglophone a très bien expliqué la situation: il faut une sanction et celle ci doit impacter le temps de roulage sinon les gros team vont se précipiter dans la brèche et faire des essais cachés quitte à se faire prendre et seulement devoir payer une amende ou un rappel à l’ordre.
Avec le temps de roulage officiel d’un week-end impacté, cette idée devient inutile pour les gros team.
