Le vainqueur de la course du week-end dernier au Portugal a réalisé le meilleur temps de la séance Moto2 FP1 à Valence vendredi matin. Dans la lutte pour le titre de vice-Champion, Simón s’est classé quatrième tandis que Iannone a chuté et est pour l’instant 39ème.
Après avoir remporté sa première victoire en Moto2 le week-end dernier, l’Allemand Stefan Bradl s’est maintenu en tête du peloton vendredi matin à Valence pour la première séance d’essais du dernier Grand Prix de la saison. Le pilote du team Viessmann Kiefer Racing a tourné en 1’37.108 et devance Karel Abraham de seulement 0.025s.
Le pilote du team Cardion ab Motoracing, qui courra dans la catégorie reine l’an prochain, devance à son tour Jules Cluzel (Forward Racing) et Julián Simón (Mapfre Aspar), qui occupe la seconde place du classement général avant la dernière course de la saison.
Simón compte six points d’avance sur Andrea Iannone (Fimmco Speed Up) avant l’épreuve de Valence. L’Italien a chuté ce matin et a été aperçu avec une poche de glace appliquée sur sa cheville gauche dans le garage de son team. Il n’a pu boucler que trois tours et est 39ème sur la feuille de temps.
Toni Elías (Gresini Racing), le Champion du Monde, est cinquième, devant Scott Redding (Marc VDS Racing), Alex de Angelis (JiR Moto2), Claudio Corti (Forward Racing), Kenan Sofuoglu (Technomag-CIP) et Roman Ramos (MIR Racing) qui complètent le top 10.
Alex Debón (Aeroport de Castelló-Ajo), qui s’était fracturé la clavicule au Portugal le week-end dernier, était de retour en piste ce matin et a impressionné tout le monde en réalisant le 14ème temps. Les pilotes Moto2 repartiront en piste à 15h10 pour la séance FP2.
